Bill & Joyce StiversElder |
Bill grew up in a strong Christian home and was baptized when he was 9 years old. He recommitted his life to the Lord in 1962 and has served Him in some capacity ever since. He graduated form Milford High School in 1952 and later served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. Bill was married to his first wife for 43 years, and they had 3 daughters.
Bill feels called to minister to hurting people. He has seen souls saved, bodies healed and lives changed. After his wife passed on to be with our Lord, Bill met an old friend from the past, Joyce, who had become widowed after 45 years of marriage. They began a very close relationship and were married in 1997.
Bill: "We both love Lakewood Christian Church and want to follow Gods call on our lives."

Ed & Janice ChuppElder |
Ed was blessed to be raised with Godly parents who were first generation Christians. At age 16, Ed knew that he was lost and needed a savior, and he asked Jesus into his heart. He graduated from Hilan High School in Ohio, in 1980, and shortly after, Ed moved to Florida with his family. In 1988 Ed married, Janice, who he met through the young adult group at church. God has laid on Ed's heart to step out of his comfort zone and watch what will happen for God's glory. Ed and Janice have been blessed with two children; Erika and Lane.
Ed: "I want to encourage boldness for Christ, with God's love in your walk each day"

Lynn & Betty EbyElder |
Lynn and Betty grew up in strong Christian homes. Their parents were actively involved with their churches. They each accepted the Lord at a young age. Lynn led numerous mission outreaches in high school and as a senior had an assignment to write a 10-year "prophecy." Lynn wrote he would be working the mission field in South America.
Amazingly enough, that prophecy came to pass six years later. Betty and Lynn were married in 1972. Two years later they went to Bolivia, South America with Wycliffe Bible Translators as support personnel. Betty was an R.N. and Lynn was in charge of the maintenance and carpentry departments. They have two children, a daughter and a son, both of whom are married.
Lynn: "We have seen God prove His faithfulness in so many ways of our 37 year marriage. And He continues to show that faithfulness to us on a daily basis. Does God answer our prayers? All the time!!! Does He answer them the way we want? Not always, but always the way He wants. This is my heart's cry for the church: to do and be what He wants! It is all about His kingdom and I want to do nothing more than to be faithful in what He has asked me to do individually; then also as a church body. So when He returns, I can hear Him say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord.""

Tino & Olinka WallendaElder |
Tino Wallenda has been a member and elder of Lakewood Christian Church since it began in January, 2007, having been under the leadership of Jeff Weaver for the 10 previous years. Descended from a rich Circus heritage that spans nearly 200 years and the 6th generation of performers, Tino is the leader of the (Flying) Wallenda family troupe. The Wallendas hold several accolades in the Guinness Book of Records for accomplishing both 8 and 10 Person Pyramids on the tight rope (2001). Other awards include the Silver Clown from the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival (2004). Among his high altitude walks are traversing a cable between a crane and the Denver D & F Tower 189 feet in the air (1987) and a 1 kilometer crossing of the Han River in Seoul, Korea (2008).
Tino: "My heart is that the (universal) Church would examine ourselves to WAKE UP to what is true of life, rather than attempting to live the fantasy that we want to believe. We should take seriously our role in the plan God has for each of us. "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: Be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." Matthew 10:16"
